Goodness, I was almost frightened after reading other bad experiences from this vendor. I am usually on top of my game and research a company before buying from, but the wool was pulled over my eyes and I went ahead and ordered through them anyways.
I ordered the Canon SD600 camera. This company had by far the lowest price for this camera. Its true that an email was sent to confirm the order and that we had to call back to verify it. Which I think its ridiculous. You shouldn't have to make a phone call and get cornered to buy more things. My husband spoke to the salesman, who he said had a brash Soprano type accent and was pretty pushy and really didn't seem all that interested in the sale. He of course lied about some battery we needed. Which we didn't order. He did get alittle snippy but overall the phone call ended without too much transgression.
Our order arrived with the 3 days that we paid extra for it to arrive, so that was good.
Here is the kicker....the box was not even shrink wrapped and the camera was out of its sleeve just laying in the box. Poorly Packaged. Why was the box even open?? To top it off, it was in a Japanese writing box and not only didn't we get the SD600, we got its Japanese model/version. Oh I was mad.
But after doing some research and talking to some people, apparently there isn't a difference between the two models, other than that the warranty may be affected.
I think the company is really dishonest and portrays themselves poorly. I would have never bought a Japanese model of the camera, had I known! I don't want to even deal with the nightmare of trying to return.
So far the camera works well and we got all the necessary accessories that were included. But rest assured, I will never bother to order from this company again.
