Pros: Small, intimate and peaceful setting with much to do (or not!)
Cons: Mediocre food.
The Bottom Line: It met my expectations in all ways, but only exceeded a few.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Sandals Antigua for 8 nights in the middle of May. We had no problems with the airport transfers. When we arrived at the resort, they were waiting for us and had upgraded our room for free!
First a little about the resort: it is very nice. The central lobby area is where most of the action is - that is the location of the main bar, restaurants and nightclubs. There is only one other bar outside of the main lobby area and that is the main pool bar. There are several pools with the main pool being the largest. There was a pool right outside of our room (we were in the upper right hand complex).
The beach is really nice, but it is a public beach. They had a lot of organized activities there, but we only participated in SCUBA diving. It was really good. I had been before, but it was my girlfriend's first time and they guided her well.
As I said before our room was upgraded. I think we were upgraded to a honeymoon suite without the concierge service. Our room was nice and if I were going to go again, I would pay to upgrade the room - possibly even to a concierge room. If you have that, they keep your room bar fully stocked with water, soda and beer and snacks.
Probably half of the people there were either getting married there or on their honeymoon, so the crowd is somewhat young (people in their 20s). However, this did not contribute to a "rowdy" atmosphere.
The food was only mediocre. It was somewhat generic and definitely not gourmet. The breakfast was pretty good. We found ourselves getting a burger for lunch most days, and we alternated between the restaurants for dinner. We thought that the Japanese place was different (and the food was decent). The Bayside grill and tex-mex place had generic food that was so-so and the Italian restaurant had small portions.
My girlfriend and I went there to have a nice quiet getaway and that is exactly what we did. This resort was well spaced and never seemed crowded. The staff there was friendly.
Lastly, the weather was pretty good. It only rained once and we went into "town" (St. Johns) that day. The "town" is really nothing to write home about and can be skipped.
