I ordered a compact portable A/C from the compact appliance website. Unfortunately, when i placed the order i did not get a confirmation for the original order. In fact, i looked under the "current order status" section on your website and nothing appeared. I took this to mean that my orginial order did not go through. I submitted another order and did receive a confirmation for this order. Later that day, (SUNDAY) i even called your call center to confirm that i only placed an order for one A/C. The customer service person told me that someone would call me on monday morning but noone called until Tuesday. By that time i had received an email confirming TWO orders for the portable A/C and that they were already shipped. Customer service told me there was nothing they could do since the items were already shipped. I was told be the customer service supervisor "that is was all my fault for ordering twice and i was responsible to pay for both units". He told me if i returned one of them i would have to pay the restocking fee and I would have to pay for the shipping back to your company. As you probably know, the A/C units are very heavy and it is cost prohibitive to ship this back to you. The customer service supervisor was VERY RUDE and really made me feel that your company did not care about simple mistakes that i believe was a direct result of a problem with your website.
Anyway, i now have 2 air conditioning units and do not need 2. I have talked to a couple of people at your company and they just said this is "my problem" and gave me a return number. ... but obviously i don't want to lose more that 200 dollars returning the product and with restocking fees. I wish someone at your company would care enough to listen to the fact that i did call the same day i place the order, but i guess that does not matter. If there is anything you can do to help me, please do so. I am very disappointed in your customer service department. I live in miami florida and i bought this for the hurricane season, i cannot recommend your company to anyone because i really have not received any "customer service"
