that travel agencies would be folding right and left and that few would remain standing after so much consolidation in the industry. Still, we booked our last two vacations through agents. They just seem to have a better finger on where the deals really are (consolidator fares, etc.). I still check out the web for a start, but it seems like the best place to get the paperwork handled (at least for me) is with an agent. As to accommodations... travel guides are extremely helpful. And online reviews, too!
