I needed some spark plugs, a couple of cabin air filters and a windshield washer nozzle (don't ask) for our cars, but I didn't want to pay local prices for what should be commodity items.
After spending a fun bunch of time on Saturday poking around the web looking for what appeared to be a reputable, knowledgeable & competitively priced online auto parts retailer, I found Auto Parts Warehouse.
Its prices are very good, though maybe 1-2% above the absolute cheapest I could find, but continue reading to see why it may well be a better deal than websites with lower listed prices.
Its selection system is intuitive and it smart enough to bring you back to the right place after putting each item in your shopping cart. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but many of its competitors seem to forget what type of vehicle you are working with every time you put a new part in the shopping cart.
All orders over $50.00 ship for free via UPS Ground. This alone made up for any of the slightly higher item prices.
And the best part, its service turned out to be super speedy. My order placed on Saturday was picked and packed on Sunday, shipped on Monday and delivered on Tuesday.
On my modest $90.00 order I saved at least $40.00 off of buying the exact same parts from a local parts store (which often give you the wrong part anyway).
AutoPartsWarehouse.com is getting it done!
