| endurance's Full Review: Jumpline Inc. |
I took my experimental website to Jumpline, and at first was very happy! My site was setup quickly, and I was online building up a website, in a matter of hours! Now everything went well for about 3 weeks, then the site took off.
As the server took more and more load, connections got slow, MySQL sessions timed out, and when I asked tech support what was up all they could reply with was "Everything is fine on our end.". Now I can understand a lot of problems can be related to the ISP of the user, or hardware issues, however for 3 weeks dealing with my ISP, checking hardware, and doing PING tests from different ISP's I found my server was indeed lagging or timing out.
When confronted with this information (copied out PING information) they still claimed that there was NO problems on any of their connections. I talked with 3 support people and ran into the same answers that gave me no solutions.
I have since moved from Jumpline. If your running a low-end website dealing primarly with HTML (no SQL, PHP, PERL) you should be fine, however be careful with it.
