How do I know the ABV on Best Brown is different? Because Two Brothers Brewing says it is. Go to their website, John:

http://www.twobrosbrew.com/brews.jsp

I'm not "clinging to any possibility". I was comparing the beers based on the information Two Brothers put on their website for Best Brown and the information they printed on the label for Brown Fox. You operated from a false premise, and therefore came to an erroneous conclusion.

They are not the same beer.

John, you really need to lighten up. The insults only make you look bad. You've beaten a dead horse on this, sent me harassing e-mails, and refused to acknowledge I might just have a differing point of view.

I don't care what the brewery says. If they say rain is dry and dirt is wet would you take that as a given too? If its the same beer, why did they change the name? The gravity? The IBUs? The alcohol content? Do you seriously believe that you can totally reformulate a beer and it still remains the same beer? I don't. Disagree with me, and leave it at that. Get over it. Grow up.

Oh and if you're going to sling insults, please at least get them right. It's buffoon, not baffoon. :-)

I doubt they brewed a special version. I got a Hefeweizen from them in my package too which was almost 5%. So much for your theory. Brown Fox is not Best Brown. They are two different beers, and I am amazed at the lengths you'll go to rather than admit you are wrong.

Cheers!

You are incorrect (again). The beers have different gravities, alcohol contents (3.2 vs 4.1), and IBUs (13 vs 17). They are not the same beer re-packaged.
