eMachine desktops are cheap, but you get what you pay for. The money you save will be wiped out by buying replacement parts.

RE:eMachines

The reason I am online right now, I'm trying to find out how to replace my hard drive. Yep, I bought a second computer, an eMachine, Oct. 5, 2003. By December 5, the floppy wasn't working. (I blamed it on the rug-rat here.) But since reading your post, I realize the floppy just "went". I called eMachine support about the hard drive that bit the dust March 1. Received replacement hard drive FREE but no FREE installation. After reading your post, I realize I am in for a long line of problems. Thanks, Elaine
