Just to add a thought. Riding rigid will vastly improve your bike handling skills. The only minor drawback is that rigid riders will often forget to use their suspension when the get on something a little more plush. i.e. The fastest line on a Full Suspension bike is often straight over all the rough stuff, where the rigid rider will pick a smoother line.
