Pros: \No pros. They are backed by Satan.
Cons: Horrendous, horrendous customer service. Confusing processes.
The Bottom Line: I despise this company. They do not deserve anyone's dollar.

Where do I start? The problem is this company was at one time a monopoly. They have a monopoly mentality. That is, Customer Be Damned. Fortunately, there is now competition. These guys apparently have failed to realize it. Read all about my fun experiences:
HOLDING DOMAINS HOSTAGE: If you register a domain with them, and then decide you'd like to transfer it to another company, get ready for party time... they deliberately make it a confusing process in the hopes that you'll throw your hands up and just keep the domain with them. They'll send an e-mail to the account you originally signed up with. If your e-mail address has changed since then, forget it. It'll take an act of God. If you do get the e-mail, you'll have to fumble through it to find the appropriate line of code and type in a "Y" for yes and so on and so forth... Do anything wrong and you'll be notified days later and you can start all over again. It's a process straight out of the IRS, circa 1952.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT-BOTS: I have several accounts registered with them (not for long- I plan on devoting two whole days to figure out how to transfer the damn things).
In one instance, I registered a domain with them. It was supposed to forward to my website. It did not. It forwarded to someone else's. I changed the forwarding info again. Still, it forwarded to someone else.
These people respond with form-letter nonsense to everything. There's nothing human about it. They don't even address your problem.
Here's the actual e-mail exchange I've had with them. Please note: THEY TOOK AN AVERAGE OF ONE WEEK TO RESPOND TO EACH E-MAIL.
ME: I have a domain registered with you guys. I have the dot-com forwarding set on it. However, it is forwarding to a company I have absolutely nothing to do with. If you put my domain in your browser, you'll get forwarded to some manufacturing company's website. That's not my company, and it's not what I have selected in my Dot-Com Forwarding options. What's the story? Thanks.

ME: I did obtain dot-com-forwarding at time of registration. I am entitled to dot-com forwarding. Please address the issue:
I registered this domain with with you people.
I have dot-com forwarding with this domain.
It is not forwarding to the proper domain.
I want the domain to forward to the domain indicated in my dot-com forwarding preferences. It is forwarding to some website I have thing to do with. It's that simple. Please don't send me form letters that don't address the problem. Thanks.
Brian
THEM: Thank you for contacting Network Solutions.
We do not offer dot com forwarding to ISP hosted domains. Unfortunately, your domain is an ISP hosted domain. Please contact your ISP about having them assist you with this possibility.
Please know that your inquiry is important to us, and
we value your business.
Sincerely,
Jim V
ME: What do you mean by "ISP hosted domain"? It's not hosted by anyone. I registered the name with Network Solutions and kept it there with the dot-com forwarding that I'm not getting.
There is no ISP to host it. If it's showing that it's hosted by an ISP, then something is very strange and needs to be looked into.

ME: Do you remember the computer game ELIZA? It was an old computer game that simulated a psychologist. It would give you very vague answers to whatever you typed. It was clever at the time. You however are not clever. You have no excuse. You are supposed to be humans. But you are incapable of answering a question without sending me a form response that indicates you have not read my e-mails, or you do not understand them. It has truly been unbelievable dealing with you people. Absolutely incredible. Not only is there a week-long wait for any kind of response from you, but it's obvious I could spend the rest of my life going in circles about this issue. and it's insulting to suggest you value me as a customer. I'd hate to see what you did to people you didn't value. Fortunately, there is competition out there for me to direct my dollar. I look forward to a form letter indication that you are unable to help me. Best of luck in your careers as customer service impersonators. Do you have souls?
