I most especially agree with you .... (Reply to this comment)

...on Julian May. I love the Pliocene Exile like few other series. Only Roger Zelazny's Amber comes close.
Cheers!

Nice list! Great books! (Reply to this comment)
by ladyhawk2_99
Well, I'd read all but one, I think. One series, that is. Judiciary. I'm not sure I'm up for that one. I don't need foofy, but I like to end up having at least hope for my characters. The movie Closetland had me sticking my fingers in my ears singing LALALA. This sounds like the novel equivalent.
But I hadn't decided not to read it, I just never happened upon it.
I'm currently getting caught up on the Ender series. I'd read the original Quad, and thought I was done. Then my 13 year old son wandered home with Shadow of the Giant, (having not read ANY of the previous Ender books) and there I was, off to the bookstore to pick up the Shadow set.
Thanks for the list. Maybe you could do an 'second string' list, because I'm running out of books to look for, and I've read your starting lineup already:)

Actually, I had not read Bujold's series before sitting down and writing this one up. Thank you again for the nice comments. -- telynor

since I discovered you via your reviews of Bujold's series. I share your opinions of Darkover (the Marion Zimmer Bradley series), and wish that it hadn't been ruined by one-theme plotting (and many many inconsistencies). But I am curious as to why you left Bujold's Miles Vorkosigan series out of your list, after posting so many five-star reviews.
