Pros: Lightweight, quiet, looks nice.
Cons: WARM beer, repeatedly jammed faucet, poor parts service.
The Bottom Line: I would NOT recommend this product because it fails miserably at living up to its advertised capability to serve cold beer.

| brianf359's Full Review: Danby Pony Keg Cooler & Tap DKC445BL |
The Danby DKC645BLS Keg Cooler is a piece of junk. I bought it because all of the advertising said I'd have "ice cold" beer on tap, or "the coldest beer on the block". Instead, the beer is cool at best, and nowhere near "ice cold". I set the temperature at 36 but the beer never got below 41 (as measured by an accurate thermometer in a cup of water inside the cooler). Not only that, but the automatic defrost cycle would send the temperature into the FIFTIES before it cooled down again. That's not much better than just opening the door to defrost it. I found numerous forums on the internet commenting on this model's sub-par cooling performance, and all these hacks you can do to fool it into doing what it SHOULD do right out of the box.
Furthermore, the faucet would jam after sitting overnight every time I would draw a beer. I had to pull so hard on it to open it I was afraid I was going to break it off. The local warranty repair shop ordered a bunch of temperature control parts for it to try and fix the lousy cooling but it took a MONTH for them to arrive. By that time I had given up and returned the unit to Sams Club where I bought it.
This thing was a MAJOR disappointment. Not only did it sour me on any and all future Danby products, but I had 2 parties with about 65 people at each and they all got to hear about this lousy kegerator. That's the worst kind of advertising you can get. I still get comments from some of those guests as to when I'm going to get a REAL kegerator. I just tell them it'll be in a week when my Beverage Air unit shows up. I guess you get what you pay for.
