Cleaning power that lasts for days
Written: Aug 29 '06 (Updated Aug 31 '06)
Pros:smart design, eco-friendly, *great company*, thorough cleaning
Cons:with 'designer dispenser,' gets harder to squeeze soap out as container empties
The Bottom Line: absolutely use method dish soap - it's a better buy for it's quality and enjoyable use, even if you don't give a d@$# about the environment.
I normally don't brag about leaving the dishes in the sink too long, but shortly after i bought my first bottle of Method Dish soap I had such a busy week, I didn't even go into my kitchen for several days. Turns out, i'd left some dishes in the sink in soapy water. I thought it was a shame to waste my brand new lavender soap, so just on the off chance it could be revived, i turned on the hot water. After a minute the sink had almost as many suds as it did the day i put the soap in - even the lavendar smell returned. I was able to clean every dish in there without adding more soap. I guess there's something to that 'cleaning by absorption vs cleaning by destruction' part of the method philosophy.
This dish soap lathers easily and cleans thoroughly. It's concentrated and you need only a small amount for a sinkfull. Dishes have that nice clean feeling and even old tupper-ware (which sometimes gets that unshakable greasy feel) is free of residue. it really is gentle on your skin; and it makes your kitchen smell lovely.
Comes in 25ml and 35ml sizes. The 25ml has top-dispenser with screw off cap; 35ml comes in specially designed container. Squeezing the mid-region of this container dispenses soap from hole in the bottom. It's novel and easy to use but gets harder to squeeze as it empties.
As for questions into its environmental make up or safety, Method as a company, is exceptionally responsive. I've sent in quite a few questions and comments and they always get back to me with timely, informative, and friendly responses.
