I found your list to be hilarious and insightful...its so touching to find someone else who Hated Attack of the Killer Tomatoes just as much as I did! I found a lot of your not so hot list of horror movies was comprised of sequels. Are there any sequels in the horror genre you find actually scary or scarier than the original, or is there a reason why most of your not so favorite listers are sequels? Many people say that sequels in the Horror genre are doomed to fail (Exorcist 2 for example) but I would argue that sometimes they do work (Candyman 2 and Exorcist 3)
What do you think?
Thanks Again for the awesome advice and insights!

Leprechaun.... (Reply to this comment)

From what you've written I can tell you are a big Leprechaun fan. LOL. I can only imagine your joy to the news that he is coming back again and this time with another recent horror icon...if you can call either of them that. Yes, this is true, the trailer is somewhere online (I can't find it for a link at the moment) but coming soon is Leprechaun Vs The Wishmaster! Proof positive that if you can make a buck on direct to video, you'll sink to no depths to do so. :)

I agreed with most of your 10 favourite horror movies, but I actually liked most of the ones you disliked. Especially Leprechaun. He's hillarious. Anyways, amazing list thing.

I thought Scream was overrated too. Glad I'm not the only one.

Good List (Reply to this comment)

As much as I hate horror movies, I just can't avoid them. I enjoyed your lists, especially the cheesy list. Maybe I will have to write my own list of best horror movies :)
You were definitely right about Child's Play 3 being a movie to avoid. It had a lot of potential with the military academy setting, but the main character was too old to be cute, so they had to throw in a little kid for Chuckie to talk to.
Anyway, good lists!

I am a big fan of Chucky and I really like Pet Sematary - mostly because Fred Gwynne is in it.
nice review

Carpenter's remake of The Thing seldom gets the credit it deserves. But hey -- no fair taking shots at 'Killer Tomatoes! Ha! Wasn't it basically played for laughs? I know the sequel with George Clooney was, right? Anyway, great job. 8) - J.
