Nail Polish Remover Is Not Recommended (Reply to this comment)
by alyork
Even non-acetone nail polish removers contain solvents that could damage the vehicle paint.
Permanent marker can usually be removed from smooth surfaces with Isopropal alcohol available at any drug store.

That's okay, 4-1-1. Some people will not understand the tremendous value (emotional and financial) of this tip until it happens to them. They can thank me later, though!
Best regards,
Danni

I thought (Reply to this comment)

the original review was fine... still don't understand how people could down-rate this "unconvetional" application... but it seems that there are some nail polish remover experts who know more than me. So it is.... Good try, anyway.

Thanks for letting me know that the first copy of this updated review has been deleted. As promised, I came back here and left a much higher rating.
BTW.....I just noticed that you joined Epinions exactly one year to the day after I joined on Feb 3, 2001. What a nice coincidence :-)

Re: REWRITE (Reply to this comment)
by melissasrn, in Wellness & Beauty
Hello again,
Yes, I realize that you did a rewrite here, but the old review really should be deleted as what you have here in this category is more on-topic. But of course it is ultimately your decision to keep or delete the first one.
And I did read the comment you left :-)

YOu're a genius (Reply to this comment)

If I remember correctly, my sister and I once did something similar to remove markings from our furniture or something. If I was you, I'd tell your husband the truth; he'll respect you all the more for it and the whoopee will be better than ever.

...I know, I WAS LUCKY. A key scratch would indeed have cost us!!!! Unless I could have filled it in with something myself - let's see...
...how about a thin spread out layer of chewed Wrigley's Double Mint gum (that should match the color!?)
LOL

Re: Hi..... (Reply to this comment)

This is a complete REWRITE. Much more detailed, a step-by-step. I am contemplating whether to delete the other, shorter version from the use of nail polish area. Thanks for your rating - I also left a reply to your comment under the above mentioned entry.
Best regards,

Hi..... (Reply to this comment)
by melissasrn, in Wellness & Beauty
I'm glad you found a better category to place your review into. Once the old copy is deleted, please let me know so that I can come back and rate this one higher.
Duplicate reviews are technically supposed to be rated NH, but I really don't want to rate this one as such.
Thanks,
Melissa
