Everything a Minnesota sports nut could want is at Dome Plus Online Store!

If you live in Minnesota or have ever been to Minnesota, you probably know about "the Dome." This is short for the Metrodome, a.k.a. the Great Inflatable Toilet that sits in downtown Minneapolis and is the current (not too much longer) home of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Now, not being a Vikings fan, I think they deserve the toilet. But the Twins...well, I'm glad they'll be moving on to greener pastures. But I digress. Thankfully, Dome Plus, although its physical location is adjacent to and its namesake derived from the Metrodome, provides products and services that are much above the standard you'd presume coming from a large inflatable toilet.
What can I get at the Dome Plus online store?
Just about anything Minnesota Sports related. Dome Plus has products for all professional teams: Wild (NHL), Timberwolves (NBA), Twins (MLB) and Vikings (NFL). They also carry Gophers gear (Univ. of MN) and have a small selection of gear from out-state NFL and MLB teams. A portion of the site is dedicated to North Stars gear, which was Minnesota's beloved hockey team before they moved to Dallas and became just the Stars (how very original).
Within these team divisions, you can find clothing for men, women, children, and infants. Dome Plus carries shirts, jerseys, pants, undergarments, pajamas, caps, jackets, and more in the way of team apparel. You can also find an abundance of standard crazy fan gear: banners, flags, buttons, mugs, mousepads, golf gear, party supplies, dog collars, wallets, and pins.
Site Organization
For a relatively small operation, Dome Plus' website is really well-done and easy to navigate. The home page has a little blurb about the store with their contact info at the bottom. On the right is a column of their currently featured items and towards the bottom center is their current special. Right now, it happens to be free shipping on orders over $98.
Along the left is the true navigation panel. The site is divided up by team -- Wild, Twins, Gophers, etc -- and then has extra categories for monthly or weekly on-sale items. When you click on a category, you will be brought to a page showing every type of item available in that category. For instance, clicking on Minnesota Wild will bring me to a page where I can narrow down my selection further by selecting sweatshirts or mugs, depending upon what I'm looking for. Each section also has a featured sale item as well.
The one navigation item that doesn't work so well is the search field from the home page. It's powered by Google, but when I typed in "Twins infant pajamas" nothing came up, although I know they are in the store because I have purchased them before.
Ordering from Dome Plus
Ordering from the website is really basic. You simply locate the item you want, choose a quantity, and click to add it to your cart. You can also adjust quantity or remove items when viewing your cart contents. Checkout is a standard secure site where you enter your billing & shipping address and then payment info.
Dome Plus accepts Visa, MC, Discover, AmEx, or they will hold your order while you send in your check payment.
Once you click to submit your order, you will get a confirmation page and an confirmation e-mail.
Pricing of the items from Dome Plus is standard for licensed professional sports merchandise. I find all of the prices either comparable or better than other stores selling jerseys and fan gear, and the selection for my teams is usually better. They do cater a bit more to Twins and Vikings fans, but are steadily increasing their stock in Wild, Timberwolves and Gophers gear as well.
Dome Plus has a 30 day return or exchange policy so long as the item hasn't been worn or used.
Shipping from Dome Plus
Shipping services from Dome Plus are unlike any online store I've ever ordered from (a lot!). They ship everything (everything!) same day or next day. I've even ordered an item at 4:30pm and it's been packed and shipped out that day. Being that I'm Minnesota, that means that I receive it the next day! Talk about service. And the packaging doesn't suffer either. Everything is packed with care and arrives in great shape.
Dome Plus offers standard USPS shipping or USPS overnight, FedEx overnight, 2 day, or 3 day. They also offer international and Canadian shipping (Minnesota has an ally in the Canucks!).
Overall satisfaction
I really couldn't ask for much more with Dome Plus. Their products are well-made, they arrive insanely fast, the site is easy to use, I never get junk-mail from them, and they have what I want. If you're a Minnesota sports fan, be sure to check it out!
