Absolutely horrible - software won't run and I was billed during free trial

I had used Yahoo! Music Unlimited last year without any problems. However, I had nothing but problems when I recently set it up again.
Upon signing up for the account, I downloaded the new Yahoo Music Jukebox client, and ran the installer. Nothing happened. The installer exited without installing, but also with no visible errors. I tried the older Yahoo Music Engine client with the same results.
Finally, I found a copy of the software that had a full installer rather than the web installer 'stub'. This managed to install, but resulted in a fatal error as soon as I ran it.
Yahoo Customer Service was extremely unhelpful, ignoring the real problem and giving scripted solutions that not only didn't help, weren't even possible to implement given that the software wasn't installing.
I finally cancelled my service 4 days after signing up - during the advertised 7 free day trial period. However, they STILL BILLED ME for the service, despite my having canceled it within the trial period! I now have a month of service that I cannot even use because their software will not run on my copy of windows!
I am not sure what possessed them to bill me even though I cancelled within the "free trial" period.
