The Bottom Line Epinions blows chunks with their overall rating ratios.
Maybe someone can explain the math to me or maybe it's the "new math" that they teach, but when does seven equal one? I am referring to epinions idiotic way of giving a loyal contributor an overall rating of "helpful" when SEVEN people rated it "very helpful" and one Epinions Nazi Editor rates it only "helpful". So the ratings of seven people don't mean squat? It only matters what the editor thinks? That's crap! Honestly I'm disappointed and quite peeved. Not only did I put 2 hours worth of research into the review, but I also answered every "criteria" question that epinions suggests that you write about. Why are people who don't have titles but are consistently loyal reviewers with good marks, punished? I have actually been contemplating about this for a couple days now on what action I should actually take and at first I was going to leave the editor's name anonymous and not say anything, but I have nothing to lose and simply - I don't care. I'll post the URL of the review below and you can decide for yourself. But be it known that this same reviewer always goes out of her/his (I can't even tell what it is by it's picture) way to give me a grade lower than everyone else on every review.
They've even went as far as leaving nasty, bitter messages on my previous reviews and I think it's sick. I think being an Epinions Editor is something that makes this person feel importance in their life and that's great. Whatever gets you through the night - but not at my expense. I've never even said two words to this editor so I'm not sure what exactly is that they have stuck up their butt about me, but I don't stand for that crap. I've never kissed a$$ and I'm sure not about to now, especially for a few measily pennies. I've even written to Epinions about their stance on the situation and I couldn't even get a reponse from them. Screw 'em.
Therefore with that said, I will not return to this unfairly managed site. Remove me from your WOT because I won't be reciprocating anymore. Thanks to all my loyal friends who constantly reviewed every review I've written. My gratitude goes out to you and I wish you the best of luck.
