I agree with Marytara, you seem to have so much knowledge and helpful advice on the subject. Not to say this isn't the place to write about these subjects. I think you have so much to offer that you could write a book and reach much more families that are in similar situations and are just looking for advice. I really enjoy reading your work.

These are days that I think you should be writing a book! You have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share.
Excellent advice!

I work in a pediatric rehab facility and hear how difficult it is to travel with children with special needs.
I recall one family in particular who traveled out of state during the terrorist attacks. They were unable to fly home the 11th which is when they had reservations. The hotel was fantastic and allowed them to stay 2 extra nights for free. Unfortunately, 2 extra days is a long time when you need all of the supplies. It was very difficult to get the necessities for this family. They were able to and ended up having to drive home.
I would recommend that you bring a couple days of extra supplies in case something delays you.
Great review!

I am interested in learning about the Disney trip and how that came about. I can take my kids to disneyland happy hearts day for $18 tickets for all of us. I got the dates last nite and just not sure if my kids are the right age yet plus doing it alone would not be easy.
I am assuming you are talking about Disney World and wanted to know what organization is assisting with this. That is great to benefit from it.
I cannot remember now if you have ever written on how to use a g-tube and what it takes to do this, etc. I would be interested in knowing since each time my son has been hospitalized for dehydration they suggest this. I spoke with a developmental pediatrician who thought this might be a possibility for my son. I have him on SILK drinking from a bottle and he eats a few other things.
