I placed my very first order with Newegg on 9/8/06. The ordered was placed 11:30 a.m. my time, which was 8:30 a.m. their time. By 3:00 p.m., I had e-mail confirmation that my order had shipped. By 8:00 p.m., I had e-mail confirmation of my UPS tracking number. Unfortunately, since I had my order shipped to my work address, I had to wait until Monday to receive my item. Otherwise, I would have received it the next day. Shipping was the standard method (within 3 business days) and it was FREE. Where else can you get free shipping PLUS your order within 24 hours? Normally, you would have to choose next day air via Federal Express and pay double extra to get it this way.
On another note, I placed an order with Amazon.com at the same time and it took 1 week to get my item, not to mention part of my order had to be cancelled because Amazon's site failed to say that the other item was not in stock. I only found out when I e-mailed Amazon asking for help in understanding why an item that is supposed to be in stock would be shipping out on November 13, 2006. They were speedy with their reply and also gave me a $5 credit. I'll use Amazon again in the future, only if Newegg doesn't have what I want. But when it comes to service, Newegg is at the TOP of my list of online shopping sites.
