Bad Choice with Whirlpool

The Bottom Line Do not buy the Whirlpool brand name.
I purchased a Whirlpool gas cooktop in 99 and have had nothing but trouble with the grates, caps and beauty ring's porcelain coming off. Thank goodness, but it is a shame to have to, but I bought the extended warranty. Well, that was over a hundred dollars itself. I have pleaded with Whirlpool for help with this mantter many times, but the bottom line is, THEY DON'T CARE. I know of someone else with the same problem who also got no help from Whirlpool. I have also had the ignition switch replaced at least twice. I was advised by the extended warranty company to contact Whirlpool since it was obviously a defect with their product, but it did no good at all. I would recommend that you watch the brands that are made by whoever makes Whirlpool as well. You may run into the same. On Delphi Forums site "Opinions" ("FED UP WITH INFERIOR PRODUCTS", you will become even better informed. Also go to the site, Planet Feedback and into Search Shared letters about the brand name Whirlpool. This is a real eye opener concerning the numerous problems consumers have had and are still having with the Whirlpool Corporation.
