Is this the place on the northside of the Interstate at the main Boardman exit? If it is, a bunch of us ate in the restaurant a few years ago and it was good. Never been to the hotel though.

You missed the best hotel in the area (Reply to this comment)

I'm an Arlington native and you unfortunately missed the River Lodge and Grill located in Boardman, the town at the previous exit. It's without a doubt one of the best hotels in that part of sparsely settled Eastern Oregon, a 3/4 star accomodation. I believe it runs about $65 a night.

Good information, and a good review.
I'm being a bit picky, but I noticed a couple mistakes. A few times you wrote "where" instead of were(eg. "we where off and running") and early on, you wrote
"My wife starting feeling ill". ALso, you mentioned that the motel was a bit expensive for what they offered, but don't actually tell us how much it was. Were there any AAA or other discounts offered?

HTH,
Evan.
