I was tired of my old Compaq and was looking for a new PC. Having owned everything from a 386-16 mHz up to the Compaq with a Pentium II 350 mHz, I was looking to go up. And this suited me just fine. I wanted a computer that was affordable, would have what I wanted in it, and was from a manufacturer that had a good name. This one fit the bill. The best thing for me is that I could customize it the way I wanted to. I didn't want a modem, network card, or zip drive since I already had them and they are fairly new...and I knew my network card would work with our router already. I didn't want high end speakers since I already had a set of Altec-Lansing, but I did want a good graphics and sound card, and I was able to select them. I also wanted a new printer and was impressed with the variety of printers I could choose from (I chose the Canon S600).

I ordered the system on a Tuesday and had everything on Friday. It was nothing to set up, even after opening it up and adding my zip drive to it, temporarily installing my old hard drive for a file transfer, and then removing it, and installing my network card. I was up and running in a very short time. The only drivers I had to install were for my network card.

Everything has worked flawlessly since the beginning, so I have not had a need to call customer service. From what I saw inside of it, this will be a snap to upgrade. There is plenty of room for additional drives and extra PCI slots for add ons. The only drawback is that I could not install my scsi card for my scanner because it requires an ISA slot. But I have been wanting a new scanner anyway, so it's not a major problem.

At this price, I feel I have gotten a good computer that will serve my needs for several years, or at least until I decide I am ready for a new one again. This is one I would recommend for anyone looking for a reliable PC that they can customize the way they want and one that is affordable.
