My Scary Movies (a short review)Mar 03 '02 Write an essay on this topic. The Bottom Line Sometimes scary movies aren't about how much blood you see. Being a big fan of horror flicks, I had to write a review. Being in a lazy mood, I made it extremely short. 10. Halloween : H20 - This has to be the most satisfying slasher flick I've ever seen. Everything I yelled at screen happenned! "He's not dead! Run him over! Hit him again! Don't feel sorry for him...KILL HIM!" Though not the scariest movie, it still starts off my list. 9. The Blair Witch Project - Forgetting the sudden sensation of motion sickness, The Blair Witch Project was a scary movie! It really made me believe in the legend of the Blair Witch. So, I guess you can say that this movie is here purely because of my gulibility. 8. Christine - A Stephen King classic about a car that kills people. This movie made me afraid of those automatic seatbelts for a very long time. I still can't look at a classic car w/out a shiver running up my spine. 7. The Night of the Living Dead - This was the frist true horror flick I ever saw. And, I suppose that, like your first love, you first scare sticks with you. 6. American Werewolf in London - Not to be confused with the remake An American Werewolf in Paris, this movie is scary! 5. Alien - A dark and scary Sci-Fi slasher film! This combines two of my favorite genres! This was my first Sci-Fi movie, and like I said before...a first can stick with you. 4. Hellraiser - Dear lord! Is there anyone alive who watched this movie that didn't have nightmares about Pinhead coming out of their closet, or hiding under their bed?!? 3. Silence of the Lambs - This movie can make anyone question their sanity with the beautiful way murder is portrayed. This movie gave new meaning to the phrase, "I'm meeting an old friend for dinner." 2. Psycho - No horror film list would be complete with out the original Psycho. I don't know about you, but I still lock the bathroom door when I take a shower. 1. Wait Until Dark - Not so much a horror film as a suspence, this movie can make me scream everytime! This movie can only be watched when my husband and another person are close at hand. *Beware the scene where he jumps out of no where* |
