get what you expect - buy Dell

You will very rarely be disappointed buying Dell. A reliable, well built machine for a reasonable price. I plan on getting 4-5 years from this PC.

How Long have you worked for Dell? (Reply to this comment)

You are obviously confused about computers in general. When you discuss imaged software, you must have had your eyes closed when you received your Dell. Or you wouldn't have missed those Operating Restoration Disks with a Great big Dell Logo stuck to them. Or you must have also been confused, and not knew that the free word program is usually contained in those Dell image disks. How much did you pay when, you added your warranty and service contracts that you really didn't need? HP/Compaq or Packard Bell? You really don't seem like much of a shopper. I am sorry, you really sound like you are experiencing a lot of pain if you are using the top 3 companies who are notorious for proprietary, imaged software computers. Try researching and/or buying a gateway machine. It is also an imaged system. But you can request full version, un-imaged software for your system. And you can install it with limited knowledge or technical background. Lastly, if your Dell is not on a repair bench within a year to 18 months, I would like to say it is nice to see a review from a Dell engineer or hardware technician. Or your company is paying through the nose for low quality systems with a high warranty fee.

but you don't really tell me much about Dell. The main focus of your review seemed to be on other companies.

I would help to include more details about Dell.

For example, what kind of warranty do they have? How do they respond to complaints? How fast can you expect to receive a computer or service? How easily can you contact customer service? How about reliability? Do they have a good selection of models? How stable are they as a company?
