Pros: They are really good in your calling area and for long distance.
Cons: Roaming charges are bad, you get screwed on cancellation, they don't care about your situation.
The Bottom Line: They are good for your calling area but watch the roaming. They make it a pain to cancel and don't really care about you. Use them at your own risk!

I was a US Cellular customer for almost 2 years in Wisconsin. I needed a phone for long distance and it worked with the plan they had. The roaming killed you at times so you had to watch it. I had a plan for $44.99 a month I got 1000 anytime minutes, 3000 on nights and weekends after 7 pm. plus unlimited call me minutes. I even got insurance for $5 extra a month. Not bad for $50. Well, I had to move out of Wisconsin and to West Virginia because of my job. I used them for the first month while in between jobs. There is no US Cellular coverage in Huntington, WV or in any other part of state. You have to go north like Elkins for coverage. The roaming killed me (charges were 69 cent per minute. My bill was $570!! I called them to cancel the phone since I was out of my local area and that I would gladly pay my bill but then they charged me $150 to cancel it! What a rip off!! I called back to complain but they would not waive the fee. Even when I called them, the first call was dropped. I finally have the phone cancelled, but I will be out at least $700 because of them!
