I would like to know if you guys who wrote comments in April and May ever received your products from Beauty Galaxy. I'm in the same boat now. I placed an order 3 weeks ago, was charged $150, and have yet to receive it! I'm freaking out!

Have you got your order yet? I placed mine on 5/12/08 and haven't recieved it and the # is disconnected and they haven;t returned any emails. Any advice?

I really wish I had read your review BEFORE purchasing a CHI Flat Iron.
I placed the order on 4/9/08.
I was charged for the product 4/10/08.
The website says allow "1-3 processing time". Fine.
I've been inquiring through email. No response.
I've called- PHONE IS OFF HOOK!
I'm Livid.

WOW... You got your order? I placed an order more than 4 weeks ago and still it has not arrived. I have left more than 200 messages and emailed at least 25 times. No reply. Oh, they got my money and I don't have a product. I don't know if its worth the hassle but the principle motivates me to keep trying!

I too ordered a chi iron from galaxy this week.I paid for 2nd day air received 3rd day. No big deal I needed my flat iron since the airline broke mine. Got and it and it was DOA. doesn't even work. didn't they bother to check before it goes out? I have sent 4 email and left 4 messages and no response. The lady on the answering machine sounds an 80 year old puffing on 20 cigarettes who can't even talk, Doesn't sound like a professional place. Previously I ordered my other one from FOLICA, I should have went back to them, they were professional and answered the phone. Though keep in mind that if you buy a CHI FAROUK over the internet it is not warrantied through FAROUK. It has to be bought from a salon. Beware of Beauty Galaxy

... and by the way... because you seem to be the type of person who likes to pick your own reality by examining only a small set of "facts" instead of looking at the REAL world... let me clue you in...

Out of 226 reviews I have written, there are:

84 Five-star reviews
40 Four-star reviews
28 Three-star reviews
14 Two-star reviews
36 One-star reviews

The rest are Writer's Corner or Advice reviews that do not have a rating system attached.

What does this mean? It means, contrary to your version of reality, the vast majority of reviews I have written are for products that I love and truly enjoy. I have over double the amount of five-star product reviews than one-star. In fact, every single one of my "Most Popular Reviews" are for products I have endorsed.

So you may "think" that all I do is write negative reviews all day long, but you'd be wrong (maybe we should try to avoid making our perceptions of reality into truth). The simple fact is that you are the type of person who can't live with the thought that other people might actually have opinions that differ from yours.

Like I told someone else: it's my opinion, deal with it.

Personally, I can't deal with a company that can't give me the honest truth as to the circumstances of my refund.

I am nice and polite up until a point, but once that point is reached... well, let's just say I don't take people's crap. You're telling me that "occasional" mix-ups led to a refund that was OVER A MONTH in coming, when their own website claims to process it in 3 - 7 business days?

In addition, I DID give you the whole story. I've written out, almost word for word, everything that happened. What do you mean "people not really knowing the full story" ? Do you think I'm hiding things in my review?

Here's the short of it:

I ordered a CHI. They sent me a slightly shady offer to switch to a FHI. I accepted after speaking with a customer service rep.

The FHI arrived fine but didn't work for my hair. I assume you know that everyone's hair is different and just because a product works for YOU doesn't mean it'll work for ME. My hair is coarse, frizzy, dry, and ringlet curly. Plain and simple: the FHI doesn't work for me. Deal with it.

I sent it back and they received it on 10/17.

Many phone calls and emails were sent, most of them were ignored.

Finally, some time around 11/30 a refund was mailed to me in the form of a postal money order.

Now... Let me ask you a question, would YOU (discerning shopper that you are) recommend (and revisit) a company that:

*Tries to switch your order to something they're authorized to sell (meaning, more than likely, a higher profit margin)? What if they extended the wait time for the iron you ordered?
*Ignores your phone calls and email messages on a repeated basis while you're trying to find out what happened to your money?
*Doesn't bother to recredit your original Visa card, but ends up sending a money order over a month after the original return date?

Really? Would you give them five stars? Would you recommend them to a friend? Would you try and revisit the store?

I'll be honest... If you would, then I have nothing else to say to you.

Wow, I read your review and can't believe you are talking about the same company I've dealt with.

I ordered from Beauty Galaxy last year around the time you wrote your review. There was a little delay, but not like you complained about. They explained some confusion with an agent that was "messing up" royally. But they did everything they could to fix the problem and send my order quickly.

Mickie was very helpful and concerned about the agents errors, so much so that she even granted me quicker free shipping.

I was so impressed that I ordered again recently and Mickie took my order in a very friendly manner, sent it with no problem and needless to say I LOVE FHI products and Beauty Galaxy.

I looked at your list of reviews and can only conclude that you like to write LONG reviews and give a lot of details (that my not be the norm) and give negative feedback with little patients to occasional problems that arise.

If people read your negative reviews without really knowing the full story, you are doing them a great disservice. They even have their customers feedback reviews listed on their web site and they are pretty impressive.

Maybe you could chant or do mantras. Then when you are "CENTERED", try some of these companies (that you take so long to slam) again. You may be HAPPILY surprised.

Oh, by the way I have also recommended Beauty Galaxy to several ladies I know and they have loved their fhi irons and dryers and the company. Another thing, you can print the invoice and it is emailed to you so you can print it there too.

What a weird site. I got my Chi in person - lol. I think I paid just over $100 for it with a coupon from an Ulta store :)
