Props out to you man, you just expanded Hip Hop's credibility (Reply to this comment)
by russianraiderz
Wow, great write up. You sould write a book, Rapping for Dummies. HAHA, again, absolutely great write up. Man, I'm about to print this up, and go try to convert people to the religion of Hip-Hop. There's no doubt in my mind, ignorant fans of music who view hip hop albums as "disposoble" will lighten up and finally understnad Hip Hop for what it is.
Looking forward to more,
Peace man

Carletta, I know its difficult for you to accept that people can love anyone other than Jay-Z, but Schooly D was HUGE back in the day. But, I guess that was just before your time. Go back to sucking on Similac, young 'un.

...I guess I'll have to drop the answers to Paul's quote challenge. Here are the names of the songs and their respective artists, in order:
"Life’s a B*tch" - Nas
“Gimme the Loot” - Notorious B.I.G.
“The 18th Letter” - Rakim
“New York, New York” - The Dogg Pound
"Cuttin' and Scratchin'" - Schoolly D.
“Second Round K.O.” - Canibus
“Long Live the Kane” - Big Daddy Kane
“Childrens Story” - Slick Rick
My 100 points will be spent wisely..

First of all mad. Funny how i managed to write one of these before you... hmmm only cementing my meteoric rise to king of hip-hop on EP.... LMAO... :-p If you get the freestyle quote i will be impressed, though.
And carletta... your ducking out only further strengthens my opinion that hardcore Jay-Z fans know nothing about hip-hop... following the lead of their "esteemed" leader.... lol... :-)
Ok i'm out.... thanks for all the comments!!

Dang... (Reply to this comment)

...I'm mad you beat me to this. I actually wanted to write something like this a while back but forgot about it. You did an excellent job of explaining the finer points of emceeing.
I probably would have given some lines from Pharohe Monch as an example of Multis... Hes the master of that IMO. Also, I think freestyling doesnt have to be improvised, it can be prewritten or off the head. Freestyling to me is just a spitting session with a very loose format; not a song, not a battle, just rhyming on the mic.
And I've got the songs identified, but it would be unfair for me to list them since I'm the RAP MASTER here on EPS. I'll wait till monday, and if no one has it by then, the 100 points are MINE!
LOL! Nice job. -mad

You're off to France? Why does everybody get to go to France but me? Oh wait, I see you're in London. So, you're a lot closer to France than I am. Blah.
Oh well, good, interesting review.
