My last Canon the BJC 4300 was a good printer at the time and it served me well until one day it just died. At the time, I needed something in a hurry, so I saw this little Apollo for 49.00 and bought it. It did a fair job on text. But soon I needed a new black cartridge and found out the sad truth about cheap little printers with expensive ink. The black alone would cost almost as much as the printer did.

So when I bought my new PC, I decided to throw in a printer and having previously owned a Canon BJC4300, I ordered the S600 with my PC. It even had a $25 instant rebate, so I saved a little more. And I am glad I chose this printer. The speed is amazing, comparable to the $500 inkjet I use at work, and the quality is unsurpassed. Colors are clear and bright, and text is crisp.

One of the nicest features I found is the 4 separate inktanks, so that you only have to replace the color that runs out. The printer is quiet, except when the paper is loading, but it is still not that bad. The only thing I don't like is that I keep knocking the paper tray off the front because it is not secured, but again that is a minor inconvenience.

For a great printer at a great price, you will not go wrong with the S600.
