What Is The Cleat For You!?
Apr 20 '02
The Bottom Line Choose the cleat that suits you best for you'r style of play!
First of all, when buying a cleat- how much are you willing to spend? If you are only willing to spend 20 - 40 dollars, well, you can tell that you don't really have a serious interest in soccer, so don't read this review.
If you are willing to spend anything and you are serious about the sport and all round want to find the cleat for you... Read this review.
There are many different brand names out their such as Puma, Nike, Adidas, Diadora, Umbro etc.
These brands are the best manufactorers of soccer cleats so I reccomend to take a look at different brands.
The 3 top big guns of all round sporting brands are Nike, Puma and Adidas.
Those three also have the best soccer cleats money can buy.
These are...
1. NIKE= The Nike Air Zoom Total 90 FG
2. PUMA= The Puma King
3. ADIDAS= Adidas Predator CL Edition
Yes, they are 3 good cleats.
But what you really want in a cleat is comfort, styling, stability, weight, size and durability.
But, in some case you have to make a decision that all soccer players must think about in a soccer cleat,
Molded studs or Replaceable?
You have got to think of the fact that if you buy Molded studs, the studs can wear down in one season, but if you buy replaceable studs you could lose one or two of the studs and then they become unreplaceable.
Its a soccer players choice.
COMFORT:
Comfort is really important. When playing soccer you'r feet must feel comfy and nice and not strainy and uncomfortable that you decide to literally take you'r cleats off.
STYLING:
Styling isn't really all that important, but it is the players choice if he wants his cleats to look boring or fashionable. So get cleats that look good too.
STABILITY:
You must have a cleat that is very supportive to you'r foot. Make sure the cleat has got good heel protection and good fitting to it. You'r cleats must be protective aswell!
WEIGHT:
Light cleats are an issue to players too. They want cleats which feels so light that you don't even feel like you are wearing them. But, if you are naturally quick it doesn't matter. Light cleats are good.
SIZE:
You must get the exact perfect size for you'r foot. Make sure the cleat is not to tight but not to roomy, just right.
Make sure it is comfortable with the cleat on too.
DURABILITY:
Durable cleats are mostly formed by the leather.
There is different types of good leather.
Kangaroo, Pittards and Calf Skin. Make sure the cleat has a satisfactory leather for you and its just right.
Polishing and dubbing also gains the lifespan of the cleat, so occasionaly do that!
So if you want a cleat that is excellent in all 6 catergories, then that is the cleat for you.
Anyway, thanks for reading and I hope this has helped you on what type of cleats you want.
