Thanks Virginia - I know how you feel, there is much of the world I will never clap eyes on either. I just count myself lucky to have experienced what small part I have.
I'm pleased to be of a little service... lol

A good friend (Reply to this comment)

of mine lives in Invararity (Gateside) so shopping in Dundee is something we did quite frequently during my stays in Scotland.
The "roond aboots" (round abouts) took some getting used to!
Glencoe was my favorite spot in Scotland! It was literally breath taking!

I love castles! (Reply to this comment)

Probably not surprising since I grew up in Germany and explored many of those grand old ruins when I was young. There is something deliciously mysterious and sinister about them. We've yet to travel to Ireland, I guess it's about time. You whet my whistle :-))!

is that I get to read about them in my nighty! Sounds like a divine place. Will you be my travel planner when I get to your part of the world?

Lovely (Reply to this comment)

Himself and I visited Dunluce in 2003--another of those places I've yet to write about. I loved it for several reasons: the location, the view, the lively yarns associated with the lords and ladies who dwelt there, and--last but not least--its connection with the Manners/Vernons, to which I claim a relation.
Well done!

During an evening storm in 1639, part of the cliff beneath Dunluce collapsed taking the kitchens with them.
That's one way to get out of the washing up, I suppose.
