Marseille: Warm, Sophisticated Mediterranean Newcomer Enchants
by Epicure | Apr 25 '02
One of the most inviting and astonishingly good “serious” restaurants in the theater district. A far more exciting and lively production than most musicals on Broadway today.

I didn't know you were such a regular there! (Reply to this comment)

Dr. Kboo and I went to Marseille in Feb. and enjoyed it quite a bit. We, too, were recommended the date cake and were very surprised by it, considering I don't usually eat dates and I don't usually order cake either. I'd wanted to write a review, but having read yours, I realize that more "research" is in order...

Wonderful review, as always!

another superlative review! My only regret is that your gems appear too infrequently.

This place sounds marvelous and your descriptions have my mouth watering.

Great job!

Teresa, I don't think your name and pedestrian would ever appear in the same sentence, except to say how very un-pedestrian your tastes are. Regarding the chocolate bunuelos, I would simply say "To each her own." I'm glad you enjoyed the restaurant, and that I am not alone in my opinion of the staff's graciousness. More food adventures to come next month. Start preparing!

Thank you for your most generous comment. It's certainly flattering to have someone other than one's husband pay them such a nice compliment. :)

Tonight? What about now? I have been known to make a breakfast out of frosted cupcakes and chocolate milk. Coffee milk, if I'm feeling really daring.
