So many people visit a timeshare resort and are offered free gifts in exchange for their time to listen to a sales presentation, and they end up buying a timeshare for a lot of money. Is that bad? If you listen to posts at the Timeshare Users Group (TUG) bulletin board, a very active board, you'd probably say, "Not necessarily the best situation, but not all that bad either." Most people who enter timesharing do so by purchasing at one of these presentations. But they maximize the use of their purchase, or actually back out of it, by gaining knowledge about timesharing. You can get that knowledge from TUG. The TUG web site, located at http://www.tug2.net, offers a wealth of information to those who have bought a timeshare and don't understand how timesharing works. If you haven't bought a timeshare yet, the site offers advice on how you can enter the timesharing arena with a solid understanding of how it works and how you can get the best buys in timesharing. Timesharing often gets a bad name, but according to TUG members, it's not bad at all. TUG members love timesharing. They love staying at beautiful resorts with wonderful amenities. The love vacationing at these resorts for a good price. They love visiting places they'd never imagine they would visit if it weren't for timesharing. And they love helping other people understand timesharing. You can sign up at the TUG bulletin board for free, but membership in TUG will cost you $15 for your first year and $10 for each following year's renewal. Visit eBay to bid on a membership for even less. The membership fee is a very small price to pay for the abundant advice on timesharing and sense of community you receive from TUG. Members also receive access to resort reviews and other privileges. So if you feel stuck with a timeshare that you don't know how to use, please visit TUG. You'll be glad you did.  |
