you have explained the inner workings of BI's like no other. Very creative epinion on a ghost town, with a wannabe Sheriff who probably is riding one of those horsie rides that you put a quarter in. The quarters being everyone's earnings. Great job !

You had it all covered but the bands of wannabe deputies who rode through town night and day shooting out lightbulbs in a misguided attempt to rise up in the levels!
I am still laughing because it is all so true! I only post a piece once in a while now just in case our absentee sheriff, who I suspect is on a tropical island swigging frozen drinks with our hard earned money, actually comes back to pay us at the end of the quarter. Wouldn't want him to be able to say I have an inactive account so he doesn't have to pay me!

I tried BI for a little while, found that things were a bit too crazy for me and left quickly. I have never gotten a payment either and I don't expect one. I am glad I got out while I did.

but I was surprised by how many really bad BIs got good ratings. Now, it seems that even the best ones get four bulbs. Many writers are saying they think they'll never get paid.

around the middle of January. It was short, sweet, and lots of fun. It contained lots of good tips and advice.
Now, it's true, hardly anyone writes, and the ones who do sometimes shouldn't be wasting their time.
It's a bummer!

I was a Rattlesnake Gulch visitor, too. In fact, I was a regular until all the nonsense started. Though I never expect another dime, I go back once in a while to see how many of the "old townspeople" are still around.
Since there hasn't been any word from BI management, I suspect the Sheriff was abducted by aliens and replaced with a cardboard cutout!!

Bright Idea was a great concept for the 2 minutes that it was going strong. I so agree that it's a ghost town now, so I barely waste a moment of my time there anymore (except to read and rate your BIs, of course). I'll eat my (cowboy) hat if I ever see a penny from them.

I haven't been over to BI since they stiffed me on my payments. Now that it's June, I'll have to see what excuse those weasels have for not paying the writers what they promised.
