Please note: This review is of Red Octane as a store, not as a game rental service.
The RedOctane Store carries everything a dance gamer could ever want, including Dance games and Dance pads. I have shopped at the Red Octane Store twice and have been quite satisfied both times and I will definitely shop there again! The website is very easy is to navigate and checkout was a breeze! The Customer Service is provided mainly through e-mail, but they also have a phone number that you call and leave a voice message at. They are usually very quick to respond and are actually quite knowledgeable on their products.
My First Experience with Red Octane
The first time I shopped with Red Octane I ordered three PlayStation 2 games, Dance Dance Revolution Extreme, Dance Dance Revolution Max, and Dance Dance Revolution Max 2. I placed my order on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 and I received my order 8 days later on Wednesday, June 21, 2006. I was very surprised how quickly my first order arrived considering I got free shipping (For placing an order over $100). The package contained my exact order and my credit card was properly charged the correct amount. All three games worked and I was extremely satisfied with my first experience with Red Octane.
My Second Experience with Red Octane
The second time I shopped with Red Octane I ordered the Red Octane Afterburner Metal Dance Pad. I placed my order on Monday, September 22, 2006 and I received my order 10 days later on Monday, October 2, 2006. When I received the package it looked as if it had already been open. The package consisted of a cover box (Which was already opened) and an inner box (Which thankfully was still taped up and secure). I received the correct dance pad and have not had any problems with it so far. I was a little concerned about the cover box already being opened, but the dance pad is fine, so I guess that really doesn't matter. Again, my credit card was charged the correct amount.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with Red Octane. They sell great quality products, have great customer service and excellent delivery times! I'm definitely going to shop here again!
