The Ball Is Like The Earth

The Bottom Line Caring for soccer balls is an important job!

" Football ( Soccer ) is like a religion to me. I worship the ball, and I treat it like a god " - Pele

Yes, above is what the great Brazilian soccer legend, Pele Edson do Nascimento', said about the soccer ball.

In my title, I say the ball is like the Earth. Which is definately true! The ball and the Earth have a lot of things in common.
The ball is a rounded sphere shape, just as the Earth is.
The ball can be worshipped, just as the Earth can.
Every single country plays soccer and each of those countries and continents can be placed around the ball.
The Earth can get polluted and wrecked and lose everything, JUST AS THE BALL CAN!
So, this is why I decided to write a review about taking care of soccer balls.
Many people might think that a 'ball is a ball and lets just belt the crap out of it.'
But, if you want you'r soccer ball's life to be expanded,
Read my review...

First of all, soccer is played on grass or turf.
The ball must roll, bounce and be kicked on the grass or turf.
That way, it keeps it's condition freshly and is safe.
But let me tell you now, the ball is in danger when bounced or kicked along concrete and brick walls.
If done so, the ball's cover can get holes in it, plus scratches and dents.
If you pop a hole in the ball, you might have guessed that the ball will be useless.
The latex of the bladder will die off and all technologies of the soccer ball will wear down.
Scratches. Scratches could rip open the leather and totally wreck the cover and split the texture, and not only it will be extremely difficult to kick, the ball will lose a lot of it's sphere shape.
Dents in the ball are not as bad as the other two torturistics, but still they are not good.
Dents can extremely flatten the ball which causes the ball to lose its shape.
Technologies will also lose its soccer formula!

So please, use soccer balls on grass and grass only!

If the ball is very dirty, it might need a good wash.
A good way to clean the ball is to QUICKLY rinse the ball under hot water and simply scrub out excess dirt and mud with a sponge or scrubbing substances.
Whilst rinsing, be very carefull that no water gets inside the ball.
This can make the ball very heavy and it will cause the ball to slowly lose its latex in the bladder.

Of cource, soccer cleats need polishing and dubbing every so often.
Same with soccer balls, but balls of cource use different formula called " Gloss ".
Gloss produces an extra effect in the ball by making it look shiny.
Gloss also increases the ball's durability.
Glossing liquids can be bought in Hardware Houses, Sports Stores etc.
If you buy a new soccer ball and you notice that it is sparkling shiny, thats why!
To use the gloss, simply get a clean cloth and use a medium amount.
Coat the ball over and makesure to rub in excess gloss!

Pumpage of the ball can be occasionaly done.
Possibly every week or so, or until the ball gets to flat to you'r disliking.
Simply pump atleast 5-10 pumps till the ball is not to soft but not to hard.
A tip here is to never ever use soft nor hard balls.
Heres why:
If you use a soft ball, yes, this makes you kick further but not only is it not fun, you could trip over the ball whilst rolling the ball due to its softness.
Never pump you'r ball to hard. Honestly, its better having soft balls than hard balls. Miss kicks will occur if you pump the ball rock solid and you'r sure to hurt you'r foot.
Medium pumpage is just about fine! :)

Treat the ball as if it was you'r baby. Feed it with gloss, clean it, play with it!
Its all just the same.
But, if you want to reach the top- Practice!
Practice with the ball as much as possible because as the old Dutch saying goes... " Practice Makes Perfect " !

Balls are filled with millions of perfect, gas filled, micro balloons and Ultimate soccer ball technology.
Just have fun with the ball and treat it right.

Thanks for reading my review!
