Crutchfield is the ONLY place to buy auto head units.
This was my first time purchasing and installing a head unit. Surfed the site for a week looking and comparing models, they really educated me. Aside from that, they have tutorials, FAQ's and simple lay-man terms that really helped me understand the technical aspects.
I did call to order rather than online and I'm glad I did. The salesperson, Ryan, was great. He made sure I understood what I was getting, told me a few tips on installing into my specific car, even went so far as to tell me what to do to return it if I just don't like the unit.
Delivery was great. I had it in 2, yes 2 days! Shipping was free so I didn't pay overnight or next day. That is a perk right in itself!
I did call tech support to make sure my wiring was right before I soldered it. The guy there was great too. He told me exactly what I needed to know and encouraged me to call again if I needed to.
Needless to say I didn't. These directions, drawings and instructions were amazing. This was my first install and I did it in 2 hours. Sounds like a lot of time but I had to uninstall OEM, drive to AutoZone for a torx driver, and then install. Not bad for a first-timer!
Anyone who is looking to shop around and order a head unit needs to look here first. This was the best experience and I'd recommend them to anyone. Even my husband was impressed when he came home from work and I was almost done!
