Awesome value for a luxury vehicle.

Pros: Style, value, inexpensive, luxury, build quality, features...most comfortable SUV I've ever been in.
Cons: Gas mileage, American manufacturer reputation, depreciation (only if you buy new!).
The Bottom Line: Recommending Envoy for anyone. Research cost to value and it would be hard to beat a used Envoy. Buy new and lose thousands just driving off the lot!

Just purchased a used 04 Envoy SLT and couldn't be happier. If you can find one with low mileage and nicely equipped you can buy it for almost half as much as when it was new. The ride is very comfortable, body roll on cornering is suprisingly good, seats are firm and good for long trips. Acceleration is very good for a vehicle that is over 4500 lbs...of course gas mileage isn't a strong point (no surprise). Steering wheel controls are very functional and dual zone climate works nicely. 2002 to 2007 models of Envoy are basically the same thing with only small modifications between years. You can't even tell the difference between an 04 and the new ones...so why pay way more for a new one when a slightly used one can save you 13, 14 even 15 grand? When comparing to newer model Ford Explorers I am much more impressed with the Envoy in every way (look, quality, performance, accessories, luxury feel). In fact I can't see paying way too much money just to say I have a BMW or Mercedes. Look at the stats and you'll see that most luxury brands are in the shop more often and cost way more to repair. My Envoy feels as solid as any vehicle I've ever owned, way to go GMC!
