I enjoyed reading your review on The Mighty B&W's as much as I enjoyed listening to them sometime back at my friends place. Guess what, I have stopped going to his place. Why, because I could not sleep for a few days after I heard them. If I had the dough I would certainly get them.
After listening to them I was on a mission to find something that sounded close to them but were within my budget. Changing the speakers meant that I had to upgrade the entire chain to come up to the standards of what I finally got.
I own the Maggies. They do not go as low as, as deep as or as high as the B&W but give me the kicks anyway.
I had read a review in Stereophile on B&W Matrix 801, the model prior to this. The article mentioned something about B&W's sound being very close to Planar speakers (the expensive models).
The review not only tells me how thrilled you were to hear them but equally enthusiastic to write very nicely about it.
Keep writing, I'll keep reading!
