I have had MCI WorldCom since 1997, with very little problems until last year. All of a sudden, they stopped billing me. I didn't notice for two months (out of sight, out of mind). When I did call them to inquire, the customer service rep told me that their computers had been infected by a virus and that the problems should be fixed soon. That was last November and, guess what? The problems HAVEN'T been fixed! My last bill was for JANUARY!

Their customer service is rotten. When you call, you will most likely get a busy signal. I got that for TWO DAYS. When you finally get through, you wait forever. I got disconnected twice. And when you finally get a person, no one can give you a straight answer as to what the problem is with the billing. When I mentioned the computer virus story to two other customer service reps, they said they had never heard that and wouldn't tell me why the billing was so far behind.

More terrible customer service: I wanted to get a new phone. When I called the local store in my area, the person who answer told me that the person who handled new phones was out and could they take a message? I left a message. Two days and no calls. Call again and get the same thing.....the guy is out. Left another message. Still no call. I had to call and get nasty with the manager. It was like they didn't WANT my business. It was like pulling teeth to get help.

If you ever get approached by MCI WorldCom for cellular service, RUN! Do NOT sign with them as their service is complete crap. As soon as my contract with them is up, I am going with Cingular or Verizon.
