Thanks for your insights. Yes I agree that Hip-Hop music is going through an evolutionary process similar to jazz. For a long time artists have been sampling Jazz and other genres, and are just now really to apply the musical theories of other genres to Hip-Hop in an effort to create better musical compositions. The future of Hip-Hop looks extremely bright as long as these trends continue.

Mr. Madtheory: this is some piece of work. Although I know you are utilizing other sources, this is the best overall explanation of Hip Hop that I have seen. As you know, I'm mainly into jazz, but I have long thought that any music which sends meaningful messages to its listeners or just entertains them well is great music. As with jazz, which certainly is an evolving art form, Hip Hop is going through evolutionary advancements. Thank you for a very informative review.
