This pertains to GoDaddy WEB HOSTING. DO NOT USE THEM.
The GoDaddy web pages went to great extent to explain how we could create whitelists and blacklists per mailbox. We would get to decide mailbox by mailbox what action would be taken for spam either a subject line prefix or placement in a particular folder.
Now that we have moved our domain to GoDaddy for hosting, valid e-mails are being blocked. These e-mails are coming from YahooGroups and other listserve software. These are e-mails that we have asked to receive. Yet GoDaddy has spam filtering going on BEFORE mail even reaches our inboxes.
Do not host your site with GoDaddy if e-mail is important to you. GoDaddy decides what e-mail you can and cannot get -- even VALID e-mails. We've had to switch to using 3rd party e-mail providers (i.e., Google, Yahoo). We're trying to get GoDaddy to correct the situation but it is like pushing Jell-o uphill. I expect that within a few more days we'll need to move our domain to a better hosting company.
