Well Don
I wasn't going to admit it but so do I!!! except it's Clint Eastwood with me LOL
You are right about crocs - they can shorten a horse real quick!
Actually the big cattle stations, millions of acres each, are well south of croc country!
Not many cattle around the crocs for some reason!!!
thanks

Peter, interesting subject, but I can't get this image out of my head of John Wayne driving cattle through Australia instead of the American West ("Pilgrims, get them lil' doggies movin' and watch out for the crocodiles...").

Would be cool if you could buy a dung beetle farm. Ant farms would be out of business.
: )
- Entertaining article as always

Cow pads... (Reply to this comment)
by whalewatcher
...also referred to as meadow muffins! One reason I have a total distaste for creamed spinach, one of the very few foods I refuse to eat.
Those dung beetles are amazing to watch, we saw plenty of them in Africa, cleaning up behind the elephants who, by the way, have a very impressive fifth leg as well!
I'd love to go on one of these cattle drives. What a great way to experience the Outback!!
