Terrible Customer Service--Consistently

Pros: Pretty good reception.
Cons: The worst customer service I have ever encountered on a consistent basis.
The Bottom Line: Absolutely without a doubt DO NOT recommend U.S. Cellular!

I have had U.S. Cellular Service since 1999, but unfortunately my service was in my husband's name because he got the original service for me. Every time I tried to make changes to my account, I was refused. So, I simply changed my service from my husband's name to mine. Well, that was a mistake! Even though I kept the exact same phone number that I have had for 7 years. My first bill (in my name) was $65 over because the previous $65 that I had paid got credited to my husband's account (which didn't exist anymore). My husband is smart enough to have Nextel service and has never had U.S. Cellular and has never paid my bill, but they credited an account in his name anyway. Then I paid my first bill of $150 (in my name) and they credited my husband again. They insisted that I hadn't paid my bill and they turned off my service because they said they couldn't transfer my payment to my account. And they told me it was my problem, not there's. Ridiculous. Bottom line, they had $150 of my money and they turned off my service. This is just one example of the ridiculous service they give. The lady told my to "hush for a minute" only so she could tell me it was my problem.
I could write 3 pages of other bad experiences, but just choose to say--don't get U.S. Cellular Service!
