Those tips are very helpful to me as well. You know an awful lot about cars I noticed by the way.
Another thing about saving gas, when deciding to buy or trade in for another vehicle and you absolutely don't need an All-Wheel-Drive or Four Wheel Drive vehicle, don't buy it. The more wheels needed to be driven, more gas will be used. The best gas saving type of vehicle is a Front-Wheel-Drive, manual transmission.
Buying a car with an automatic transmission also uses more gas than a manual due to the govenor in the gearing (I read this on howstuffworks.com).
