The most important thing to remember is that one must keep writing in order to improve. The results may be maddening at first, but there's always next time....

Hey Tom, This is the first I have read this piece. (Reply to this comment)

Didn't really matter though. I didn't need to read this because I have learned much from reading your reviews. What you preach here, you teach in your contributions.

I'll be bookmarking this for new readers.

Best,

Phil

Were the beds comfortable? Noisy?

Does it move half way across the room on you..?

I wasn't a member last year when you wrote this, Tom. I am sure that your advice was and still is most helpful to all!

Tom,

Thank you for writing such an excellent review!

I find your review extremely helpful given that I am new to Epinions. I recommend all newcomers to read your review.

P.S. I would have rated your review "extremely helpful" (rather than just "very helpful") if such a category exists. Good job! And thanks. :-)

about taking notes..I wouldn't dream of traveling anywhere without a travel journel but in a pinch I have been known to write on napkins or any kind of scrapes of paper when I can't get to the journel fo rone reason or another...My photos also act as a journel for many of my reviews I can look at a few pictures and the trip comes back to me in full...

Great advice and I'm sure any newcomers will get a good picture of what is needed from what you have written.
Thanks

I once got the bright idea that a tape recorder would be the best way to take my travel notes. In fact, I used it on my last trip to Hawaii.

I had all kinds of wonderfully detailed notes, including an interview with a gentleman and his son who had a very close encounter with three whales about 200 yards offshore from my hotel.

Imagine my dismay when I returned home to find my tape completely blank ... I am now a firm believer in written notes!

Wish I could still give an MH because this certainly is worthy of one.

It enforced some thoughts that I've had.

I hope a lot of newcomers read this as they are sure to benefit from it.

Thanks,
Lorace

. . . great advise for Epinionators across the full continuum from "New" to "Top Reviewer".

While I heartily endorse all your suggestions. Putting a bit of ourselves in our postings is certainly critical. Personality counts!

Under your leadership we can only get better.

Very nicely done.

...some great advice Tom. Even having been addicted to Epinions for quite a while, I hadn't thought of taking notes when I'm in a restaurant...so I learned something new too!

Hey, maybe they'll think I'm a critic...{grin}...keep up the great writing....kath
