Adding Mass to a Light Camera

The MB-D80 is a solid unit. By using it on the camera I get better battery life (due to the extra slot) and the grip adds some needed girth to the camera. On the down side the vertical grip make it really hard to reach the focal point selector... it's darn near impossible to do with one hand!
The build quality is excellent (matches the D80 body texture) and the button feel is great however there is no midway point click on the vertical shutter release like the camera shutter release. This isn't a problem if you learn how to focus up things by slightly touching the shutter release versus pushing it down firmly. AE/AF-L button is located very nicely (better then even the camera's location next to the rear wheel!!)
On the down side the fit leads a TAD bit to be desired. I would have like to have seen a tighter fit against the camera body. The locking screw has a tendency to loosen a bit no matter how much you screw it down. The grip almost needs another type of locking mechanism the opposite side of the screw lock.
