The Bottom Line Ever read a review that simply wasn't worth the grief of rating?
I sat at the computer, and my head it did ache From staring at the monitor trying to make Sense of this review before my tired eyes. I read and re-read, but simply couldn’t rate it. I read and re-read, trying not to hate it. I looked for truth, and saw nothing but lies. If the writer were new, rating would be easy, As it stands now, my stomach is queasy. Giving an NH might cause my Epinions demise. For the writer is well loved, popular and contrary. If I give this low rating, I would be wise to be wary, For his friends will descend whooping war cries. The advisor hat on my head is not worth this sure beating; The comments section will look like a dreadful mass meeting A veritable lynch-mob all out for my hide. I’ll click the back button on my trusty web client, And flee for reviews written by one more compliant Where I can leave my true ratings with nothing but pride. My rating isn’t needed here. To be sure it’s not wanted. Leave it here, and I’ll only be taunted; No, I’ll back out and take this in stride. As I write this small verse, I can’t help but wonder: Is this small poem of mine a serious blunder? I shall be still now and let you decide.  |
