The Bottom Line One of my favorite (actually all are my favorite) times of year.

Ahhh, the smell of barbeque in the backyard. A nice walk around the lake at dusk. The picnics with family, the fairs and festivals. A nice boat ride on the river. These are the things summer is made of.

I wrote this little poem to express my happiness over the beginning of summer. It seems that the summer time is all too short and yet we spend a great deal of time waiting for it to finally arrive!

Summer Blossoms

Whispering willows
gentle breeze
cool winds across
the window pane.

Crickets gently
call out to the night
as the feel of rain
covers the air.

Pansies prepare for
a night asleep
waiting for morning
to begin summer bloom.

Whispering winds
sing gentle words
across the window
pane this
summer eve.
