I have used Cascade 2-1 action pacs with Dawn since it hit the market. It works but maybe too well.

I have a newer model Maytag top of the line dishwasher. Several months after using Cascade 2-1 action pacs with Dawn; I noticed an oily substance on the lower kick panel of the dishwasher. I washed it off, it smelled like Dawn detergent. A few weeks later, while cleaning off the leaking Dawn soap, I noticed a grainy substance on the doors exterior. It was Cascade, the soap ate through the door of the dishwasher! The dishwasher, in the door panel has a vent type opening at the top and bottom where water (for some reason) flows through. The soap was building up rather than washing away, to me that says even with the rinse cycle there would be soap on the dishes!

I now have to replace my dishwasher as the soap has eaten through the door in a large area, water leaks through as some of the holes are a quarter inch in diameter!

I also have spoken to others who say it too has ruined their dishwashers, not in the same manner as mine but by clogging the units up and requiring repairs.
